Alfesta Trophies

Alfesta Trophies

There are three major trophies/awards presented at Alfesta. The trophies are named in honour of memorable Alfisti. The costs associated with these three awards is borne by National funds.

The Bob Gardiner Memorial Trophy

This trophy is awarded to the person staying in-house and/or an attendee who attends all Programmed Alfesta Events (including meals), and who drives an Alfa Romeo vehicle to, during and from Alfesta (or under special circumstances – competing in an Alfa Romeo vehicle) who amasses the greatest number of points from all published events. Special circumstances will be determined by National Council members and could include "fly-in attendees". Pointscoring will be the responsibility of the Alfesta Committee and the trophy will be awarded after careful consultation between the Alfesta Committee and National President. A keepsake shield will also be presented to the winner at this or the subsequent Alfesta.

The Harry and Joan Lewis Spirit of Alfesta Award Shield

This is awarded to the person, couple or family who displays the most involvement and "spirit" during an Alfesta. As distinct from the Gardiner Trophy, the Shield would be given to someone who participates in all events but who may win none, who attends regularly and who generally displays the true meaning of an Alfisti. The Shield and keepsake Mantle Clock will be awarded after careful consultation between the members of the National Council present.

The Ray Sharp Observation/Navigation Run Memorial Trophy

This trophy is presented to the winner of the so-named event, irrespective of attendee status. A keepsake shield will also be presented to the winner at this or the subsequent Alfesta.

Other Awards and Prizes

At the discretion of the Alfesta Organising Committees, other awards or trophies may be presented to winners of individual Alfesta events.
